My domain randomly stopped working

If your domain name randomly stops working, but is current in it's registration status, it's possible that the registry has placed the domain into a serverHold status. Per https://icann.org/epp#serverHold , this status indicates that "your domain is not activated in the DNS.", which is effectively a suspension places on the domain name at the level of the registry or registrar.

IncogNET does not have access to to place or lift serverHold statuses. These are typically put into place for domain names actively engaging in illegal or malicious activity such as phishing, spamming, or other activity that is in violation of the terms of the TLD.

This action can and does often occur without IncogNET even knowing, or without us receiving any prior notice of abuse or concern. If you believe this may have occurred, please contact us so we may review the matter. In some cases, it may be possible to restore the working status of the domain name. (And in other cases, it is not)
